London Developer Gifts Over £10,000 in Essential Household Items to First-Time Buyers

First-time buyer developer of choice, Fairview New Homes, has gifted £10,600 worth of essential items to first-time buyers in the last four months, in an effort to alleviate costs and make the first few months of homeownership more affordable.

Since the launch of its Essential Starter Pack campaign in February 2023, Fairview has welcomed 53 first-time buyers, across its London and Essex developments, with £200 worth of essential household goods from Sainsbury’s when they’ve moved in.

Conscious of the ongoing inflation of food prices and everyday essentials, Fairview launched this campaign to aid in removing the additional expenditure of purchasing all the basic household items required when moving to a new home. Each Starter Pack was filled with a range of pantry essentials, including herbs, spices and tinned goods, cleaning products, crockery, toiletries, and more.

Chris Hood, Sales and Marketing Director for Fairview, said, “We continuously work hard to find new and helpful ways to support homebuyers getting on the property ladder, and the Essential Starter Pack has played an important role in making homeownership more manageable in recent months when every penny and pound count. We wanted to ease the burden of additional spending at a time when the cost-of-living is already high and we’re pleased to have received positive feedback from residents since the initiative launched.”

Monica Charalambous, Senior Development Project Manager at Epping Gate, a Fairview development in Loughton, Essex, said, “It was so nice to see the reaction of residents receiving their Essential Starter Pack! They were all smiles and super grateful. Many told us that this gift would make their transition into their new home much smoother. I really enjoyed being part of the gifting process.”

Homebuyers can still benefit from a wide range of incentives and schemes when purchasing at one of Fairview’s developments.

With one-bedroom apartments priced from £320,000, buyers at Epping Gate, in Loughton, Essex, can have their deposit topped up by up to £25,000 in June. The Deposit Unlock and Save to Buy schemes are available at the development.

With less than 10 one- and two-bedroom apartments available, NewHayes, located in Hayes, offers £10,000 cashback on reservations of selected plots in June. The Deposit Unlock and Save to Buy schemes are also available to eligible buyers.

Brentwood Acres, based in Brentwood, Essex, just launched the second phase of its development, ‘The Gardens’, a collection of stylish two-, three- and four-bedroom houses starting from £500,000. Anyone who reserves at Brentwood Acres in the month of June can have their deposit boosted by up to £30,000.

Later this Summer, Fairview will launch its newest development in the historic naval and military town of Woolwich, Greenwich, Dock28, comprised of 216 studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments. Located just under a 15-minute walk from Woolwich Station on the Elizabeth Line, Dock28 will offer residents a fast access to Canary Wharf and Liverpool Street station, and the calm of living by the River Thames and close to many green spaces.
