happn and The Crystal Maze LIVE Experience launch free Valentine’s Day virtual dating for pandemic singles

This Valentine’s Day, happn and The Crystal Maze LIVE Experience are joining forces to offer the dating apps locked down singles an exclusive chance to ‘bubble-up’ in Dome From Home virtual dating events.

happn, the dating app that connects singles with those you cross paths with, is bringing dating indoors. The free, for one day only, virtual group dating events are exclusively open to searching singles signed up to the dating app and designed to lower barriers and encourage communication.

The quirky and challenging virtual group activities, bring the frenetic fun of The Crystal Maze LIVE experience, based on the popular 90s TV show, into your home during lockdown, providing an immersive experience jam-packed with mental challenges against the clock. It’s all about teamwork, showing off skills and good old-fashioned competition – making it great for getting to know someone quickly, and especially seeing how they perform under pressure.

Singles taking part will be put through their paces in a number of high adrenaline games, including:

Mumsie’s Riddles – players will be asked to master Mumsie’s riddles in order to win a crystal for the team. One to help you work out if your match is good enough to take home to mum?

Jester’s Hat – this skill test will let you know if their aim is strong and true, like their love

The Hunter – this one is all about commitment. Hunt the clues and solve the mystery! But will they do it in time?

To sign up to the event, users must have a happn profile. Spaces are limited, and participants are encouraged to register quickly for their chance to play.

Harry Blaiberg, Sales and Events Director commented, “Looking for love is hard, in lockdown it’s even harder. So we’ve partnered with happn to help those looking for love to stop playing games, and play our game instead! Join us and sign up for a dating experience with a difference.

“This Valentine’s Day we’re changing it up – offering pandemic singles the chance to take part in a virtual group date, while being put through their paces in our virtual Crystal Maze. High adrenaline first dates are said to increase attraction and the chance of a second – and this is about as high adrenaline as it gets from your sofa!

“Our Maze Masters will guide each group of matched singles through challenges to break the ice that will have you screaming advice at each other through tiny (virtual) windows just like the show – and we’ll help you get connected after.”

Marine Ravinet, Head of Trends at happn says, “We know that Valentine’s Day can be tough for singles, and even more so given the current situation! We wanted to provide something really fun for our community this Valentine’s Day and what better way to break the ice than partnering with your Crush on a virtual challenge! Participate from your sofa, sign up to do something different and discover more about each other in a really exciting way.”

“happn has always been an app that encourages connections with those you cross paths with, in real life; those that drink coffee in the same café as you or visit the same park on their daily walks. While we are still housebound, we wanted to create an event that still promoted a real-life experience, while also being safe for our members. Give it a go!”

To sign up visit https://the-crystal-maze.com/virtual-singles-night/ and fill in the short survey that will allow you to be matched with your group of eight singles. Questions include your sexual preference, age and type of relationship you’re looking for.
