LONDON PASSENGERS OFFERED 50% OFF RIDES TO ALL EAT OUT TO HELP OUT PARTICIPATING RESTAURANTS

The UK’s only black cab and private-hire ride-hailing app FREE NOW is today helping the country to step up to the plate to reinvigorate the economy. From Monday 3rd August, any Londoner’s who uses the FREE NOW app for the first time will be eligible to redeem 50% off their ride to every pub and restaurant that are taking part in the Governments Eat Out to Help Out scheme.

It’s been reported that more than 30,000 pubs and restaurants may not ever reopen following the UK-wide lockdown due to a lack of trade and depleted financial reserves. However, travelling safely is still a major concern and there is still a reluctance to use public transport. FREE NOW hopes to give people peace of mind by providing safe and affordable transport to all their favourite high-street haunts, participating in the scheme.

The offer is available Monday to Wednesday from 5pm-9pm throughout August for all black cab and private hire vehicle bookings via the FREE NOW app in London following the brand’s recent merger with Kapten. The joining of forces, brought together what was London’s 2nd biggest ride-hailing service with black cabs on an app for the first time.

Mariusz Zabrocki, General Manager of FREE NOW UK said: “We think it’s fantastic that people will soon be able to eat out for less thanks to the newly introduced ‘meal deal’ scheme. None of us want to see our favourite restaurants go out of business and disappear from our high streets and local communities in these challenging times.

“So we wanted to help further by enabling people to travel to their destinations safely and securely. With our rider deal we hope we can help people to have the confidence to travel to some of their favourite pubs and restaurants and not only save 50% off their food bill, but also save 50% off their ride, there or back, on us.”

New users of FREE NOW will simply need to apply code “EatOut50” to redeem their 50% off (up to £10) and only one code can be used per new customer. For full terms and conditions visit: https://free-now.com/uk/eat-out-to-help-out-terms-and-conditions.
