London yoga teacher to host Blindfolded Yoga in support of the RNIB

Yoga teacher Dan Peppiatt will lead you on a journey through the senses with his blindfolded yoga class, which will donate proceeds to the Royal National Institute for the Blind.

The OM Yoga Show and Yoga Like Water are incredibly happy to lead this 90 minute charity class in collaboration with and in support of the Royal National Institute for the Blind, and the fantastic work they do with the blind and partially blind.

Dan Peppiatt has been leading blindfolded yoga sessions for over 5 years, in the belief that they offer great potential to access parts of your physical practice that are otherwise often overlooked.

To remove the sense of sight brings a greater depth to practice; we become unconcerned with what a pose, other yogis, or the teacher looks like, and more attuned to what the practice feels like – becoming familiar with our bodily sensations and paying attention to what they are telling us.

In this session participants will move slowly through postures, no names are given in Sanskrit or English, only simple instructions for your mind and body to interpret as you feel best, rounding off with a gentle yoga nidra.

The RNIB is one of the UK’s leading sight loss charities, and the largest community of blind and partially sighted people.
