Current Eurasian Resources Group activities:

New projects at ERG

Under Mr Sobotka, ERG began integrating itself into China’s Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), thus allowing the company to expand its scope of activities within Kazakhstan, Africa, and Brazil.

Alongside ERG’s commitment to the BRI, the company also began attending the World Economic Forum and soon enough, became a Strategic Partner Associate. ERG has taken part in forming the Global Battery Alliance (the Alliance) and together with leading global companies, international organisations and NGOs, it works to deliver an ethical and sustainable global supply chain for lithium-ion batteries.

In 2019, Eurasian Resources Group became a member of another global initiative, the UN Global Compact. The initiative is an agreement which encourages businesses worldwide to adopt sustainable and socially responsible policies, and to report on their implementation.

What does the future hold for ERG?

In line with Benedikt Sobotka’s vision for the company, he foresees the supply of ferrochrome, cobalt, copper and aluminium as being the most crucial components for the future as countries work towards achieving a greener economy.
