New Outdoor Dining Destination Launching at Television Centre

A new outdoor destination for West London has launched following the re-opening of the hospitality sector. ‘The Set’ brings 2,500 sq ft of outdoor seating to the iconic forecourt of Television Centre, the reimagining of the former home of the BBC in White City, providing a new social space for local residents, the public and the restaurants to welcome back their customers.

‘The Set’, aptly named in context to its location within Television Centre, has been designed to immerse visitors into an outdoor television set. Adorned with film and television props including directors chairs, giant-sized television screens and clapperboards, ‘The Set’ will be surrounded by a white-picket fence, inviting diners to eat and drink al-fresco on picnic benches and other dedicated seating areas.

On-site restaurants, Kricket, Flying Horse Coffee, Patty & Bun, Bluebird, Homeslice and White City House’s The Allis bar will be open for dining and takeout. Customers will be warmly welcomed to take a seat in the Director’s chairs and enjoy much-missed dishes in a unique summer setting.

With a seating capacity for up to 120 people and no need to book, the destination is open and free to the public. Safety signage will be clearly displayed to ensure all socially distanced measures are met and hand sanitisers and regular cleaning of the area will be implemented.

Developer Stanhope and site owners Mitsui Fudosan and AimCo have invested in ‘The Set’ to support all its tenants re-open and enliven the neighbourhood for the summer months ahead.
