Roadshow for deaf children to visit Haringey schools

The National Deaf Children’s Society Roadshow will visit the Blanche Nevile Schools for Deaf Children in Highgate and Muswell Hill this week, which is also national Deaf Awareness Week (6-12 May).

The Roadshow will be at the Blanche Nevile Primary School in Highgate on Thursday 9 May and the Blanche Nevile Secondary School in Muswell Hill on Friday 10 May.

The Roadshow, an eight ton lorry that turns into a high-tech classroom, tours the UK raising awareness of childhood deafness and the support available to deaf children and young people.

The Roadshow team will offer workshops, practical advice and a demonstration of the latest equipment available to deaf children and young people, including flashing smoke alarms, vibrating alarm clocks and hearing technology.
