SEVEN DIALS WELCOMES LONDON TO SWITCH ON THIS YEAR’S INTERACTIVE CHRISTMAS LIGHT INSTALLATION IN AID OF SHELTER

This Christmas, Seven Dials is proud to partner with housing and homelessness charity Shelter, giving Londoners the chance to switch on the new interactive Christmas light installation, simply by making a donation to the charity.

Launching on Thursday 14th November 2019, shoppers are invited to Seven Dials from 5-9pm, to experience a memorable evening packed with free festive activities, live music and inspiring decorations.

For the first time ever, this Christmas light installation will interact with a charity tap donation point to bring the ‘Starry Night’ design to life and drive valuable donations for Shelter by the thousands of shoppers visiting Seven Dials over the festive period.

Featuring over 650 giant stars across the interconnecting streets of Seven Dials, this unique interactive design will be a UK first, providing an experiential festive experience for London visitors, whilst highlighting the fact that sleeping under the stars is still a harsh reality for thousands of people sleeping on the streets of England & Wales on any given night.

A charity ‘tap’ point will be located on Earlham Street, where visitors can tap their bank cards to donate £3 directly to Shelter. Upon receiving the donation through the card tap point, stars at each entrance to Seven Dials will twinkle to create a special immersive sequence of lights.

Consumers and festive shoppers alike are invited to Seven Dials to be part of the switch on moment which will take place at 6:30pm, with the electrifying House Gospel Choir performing contemporary Christmas classics and house hits. House Gospel Choir brings together a group of outstanding singers, house band and DJ, creating a live fusion of the biggest house and gospel tunes.
