THE MALL, WOOD GREEN JOINS PURPLE TUESDAY

The Mall Wood Green joins Purple Tuesday with a pledge to train all its guest facing teams in Autism Awareness.

On Tuesday 12th November 2019, The Mall Wood Green will officially join the Purple Tuesday campaign, which focuses on changing the guest experience for disabled people and ensuring we are accessible for all.

Purple Tuesday marks the start of The Mall Wood Green’s pledge to train all its guest facing teams in Autism Awareness. Once trained the team will receive a recognisable Autism Aware pin badge to wear.

Official Sunflower Lanyards for those with hidden disabilities will be available to collect at its guest lounge. Wearing the Sunflower Lanyard indicates to people around you that help may be required.
Being at the heart of the local community the centre is committed to ensuring all its guests enjoy their experience of shopping there and offers a wide range of services for people with disabilities. Find out more about accessibility at The Mall Wood Green here.
Samantha Davidson, General Manager at The Mall Wood Green, said: “Purple Tuesday is a fantastic initiative and we are delighted to be involved.

“We are committed to ensuring that our shopping centre is accessible for all and this has been further highlighted with our latest pledge to provide our guest facing teams with Autism Awareness training and Sunflower lanyards available for those with hidden disabilities

“I am looking forward to seeing the UK’s retail community come together to mark this inaugural event and we will certainly be supporting it in years to come too.”
