The Starr Trust announced as Brighton Power 100’s chosen charity

2018’s Brighton Power 100 list is set to be released in November and organisers have announced local charity The Starr Trust as their chosen charity.

The Starr Trust is celebrating its 10th birthday this year; it was originally set up in 2008 as a tribute to Rob Starr’s late father Edward to keep his message of positivity alive. The aim of this Brighton-based charity is to help local young people fulfil their potential to be the best that they can be, with a focus on Sport, Art and Education.

The partnership between Brighton Power 100 and The Starr Trust will see inductees and supporters of the Brighton power list encouraged to donate to the Starr Trust.

Famed lawyer Nicholas Taylor, The President of Brighton Power 100 this morning welcomed support towards the charity.

Rob Starr of The Starr Trust told us “Nicholas Taylor, president of the Essex Power 100 and now of the Brighton Power 100 has been a supporter of the Starr Trust for a number of years.  His personal support, and now the support of the Brighton Power 100 is absolutely wonderful and everyone at the Starr Trust, from the Trustees, to the volunteers to the hundreds of beneficiaries are so grateful.  This support, indeed all support the Starr Trust receives, is vital to continue the amazing work the charity does.”

Brighton Power 100 is encouraging everyone to support The Starr Trust’s CHAMPION A CHAMPION scheme, under the scheme individuals are invited to donate just £250 to inspire a young person to be the very best that they can be.
