A singer-songwriter for the masses, theajsound is breaking genres to bring people an EDM track that will get them moving.

theajsound has partnered up with Indian producers Myris and Shivam Bhatia to produce Be With You.

The EDM/fusion track is a collaborative effort between the three songwriters who discovered each other through Instagram. theajsound says as soon as he heard the beat, it was the lilts of the Indian instruments that instantly caught his attention.

“I’ve always wanted a song that has hints of sadness but overall makes for a happy tune. The beat for Be With You did exactly that and helped me create a bittersweet song.”

theajsound started working with Myris and Shivam, both based in India, earlier this year, which meant business as usual continued for them during New Zealand’s COVID-19 lockdown.

Fellow producer Shivam Bhatia is one of the youngest and most innovative producers in India, whose music is supported by big names in the industry and is garnering millions of listeners across the world.

“It was so great to work with producers who had a similar passion to me when it comes to making music,” theajsound says.

“I couldn’t think of a better time to push my limits and collaborate with them, than during an almost global lockdown.”

For each of the young artists, Be With You speaks to giving everything you can in a relationship. Whether you think of it in the present, or in hindsight.

“I wanted to make people realise that trust, honesty and loyalty are the most essential qualities in a relationship,” says Shivam.

“This song is really special to me,” says Myris. “It brings back so many memories from the past.”

The artist says he couldn’t be prouder of the work he and his industry “brothers”, Shivam and theajsound have brought to life.
