There’s something about a Friday night in the City. The week loosens its grip, the room fills steadily, and dinner shifts from formality to the first act of the evening. The City’s iconic dining institution, 1 Lombard Street, introduces a new reason to linger a little longer.
Diners can now indulge in a perfectly cooked butcher’s cut steak made using exceptional beef rooted in heritage and craft, proudly sourced from Ireland’s master butcher, Peter Hannan. Priced at £27, the steak is served properly: with classic Béarnaise or peppercorn sauce and bottomless fries that keep coming. No small plates. No overthinking. Just good beef and frites that don’t run out.
While enjoying the steak, diners can also sip cocktails designed to carry them seamlessly from Friday dinner into the rest of the night. The cocktail list includes the sparkling, bittersweet Americano, the floral, zesty Paloma and the refreshing, fruity Rum Punch, priced at £8 each. The creamy and indulgent Espresso Martini is also available for £10.
Fridays at 1 Lombard Street have always had their own rhythm. The new steak and unlimited frites offering dials it up, bringing Friday nights firmly back to the heart of the City. It’s all set against the backdrop of one of the capital’s most beautiful Neo-classical dining rooms with its Grade II listed stuccoed ceiling and vast glass dome.
