22 Bishopsgate has joined forces with Searcys, one of London’s leading and oldest events caterers and restaurateurs, to manage and host corporate and private evening events at Horizon 22.

Located on Level 58 of the City of London’s tallest building, 22 Bishopsgate, Horizon 22 is the highest free public viewing gallery in Europe[1] and offers spectacular views of London from 254 metres or 833 ft above ground. 22 Bishopsgate is a 62-storey smart building with a vision to create a place where people thrive.

Complementing its offering with free-to-access public viewing gallery during the day, the panoramic space will be available to book for exclusive hire events and celebrations from today, with Searcys providing premier hospitality and event management for functions.

Available from 6am – 9.30am and 7pm-3am, seven days a week, and with capacity for up to 280 seated guests or 500 standing, the space can accommodate a range of different events from standing receptions and seated dinners to fashion shows, product launches, filming productions and evening wedding reception, parties and celebrations.

Searcys will oversee all catering and event sales, launching compelling event packages and dining menus aligned to each season. With sustainability at its heart, Searcys will utilise a number of eco-friendly practices across its event packages, including using electric vehicles for deliveries and seasonal menu designs. Menus will showcase both Searcys signature dishes and its curated wine and champagne lists, as well as non-alcoholic drinks and mocktails[2].

Horizon 22 is London’s newest skyline landmark and is fully equipped with a high-specification technology system – complete with a wide range of moving and static LED spot and wash lights, stage lighting and a state-of-the-art acoustic sound system – to support a variety of events. Offering a spectacular space enabled and enhanced with atmospheric effects, Horizon 22 further benefits from an immersive surround sound experience, with capability for live music and presentations, and two impressive LED screens which are 4.6m and 6.6m wide.

Horizon 22 opened its doors to the public on 27th September 2023 offering a fully accessible and completely new perspective of London’s sprawling capital. Showcasing unique views of London, most of the capital’s iconic landmarks can be seen, including the ‘Cheesegrater’, ‘Walkie Talkie’ ‘Gherkin’, St Paul’s Cathedral and Tower Bridge, as well as across the River Thames to the ‘Shard’.

Utilising an 8.4m/27.8 ft high ceiling to enhance the viewing experience, Horizon 22 has its own entrance direct from Bishopsgate, with visitors whisked up to Level 58 in c. 40 seconds via one of the two high speed lifts serving the gallery, travelling at up to 8 metres per second.
