1) Where are you originally from and what made you move to Los Angeles?

I was born in Dothan, Alabama. It’s a small southern city on the border between Florida and Georgia. I moved frequently in my childhood and would never get too comfortable at a new place. I visited Los Angeles prior and fell in love- I knew it was where I wanted to live. I had been scouted working as a barista, everything kind of fell into place.

2) What made you get into skincare and start Ford Skincare?

I have always loved skin, and skin health, the science behind it. I struggled with bad skin during my teenage years with my hormones imbalanced and using all the wrong products that were all just marketing. We figured out the perfect combination of ingredients formulated for millennials to even skin tone and balance PH. We’re very excited to release our line soon as the results speak for themselves.

3) What’s an experience you’ve had you couldn’t forget?

It’s very hard to pick one out of the many, however I just attended Coachella for the first time and had a great time. The line-up was great, I discovered a new French artist named Jain. She killed her performance. It was an experience I definitely couldn’t forget.

4) What are your career plans?

I obviously hope to expand my humanitarian efforts. I’m trying to reduce plastic usage and promote recycling as much as possible. At the same time doing a lot of product testing for my skincare brand. I’ll also be opening up an online pet store soon, inspired by my favorite pet toys and tools. I might be hitting the big screen soon as well.

5) What would you tell your younger self?

That adult-life isn’t all that it seems. You’ll be stressed quite a bit, but also you’re gonna enjoy it and have the ride of a lifetime.
