51ST STATE BAND PREMIERES AT WORLD HEART BEAT EMBASSY GARDENS

The 51st State Band, the flagship band from award-winning music charity, World Heart Beat will premiere at its stunning second venue, World Heart Beat Embassy Gardens, Nine Elms, on Friday 1 December. Now in its 22nd year, the 51st State Band has previously held its annual concert at the Putney Arts Theatre.

The 51st State Band was conceived by Founder and Creative Director Sahana Gero in 2000. With boundless energy and talent, the band represents the spirit of the academy by bringing young, gifted musicians of all ages, backgrounds and abilities to learn and play together. The concert will consist of an inspiring and vibrant music programme of jazz, rock, soul and film scores, ideal for all ages.

Like Bonfire Night, the 51st State Band has become a festive and unmissable event in the Wandsworth arts calendar; an assured night of animated musical performance for the local community and families alike. It’s a chance to see the young musicians really shine, and showcases the vitality and dedication that World Heart Beat students really thrive on.

In January this year, World Heart Beat opened its second site – World Heart Beat Embassy Gardens, a state-of-the-art first-class music education and concert venue in Nine Elms, featuring a 200-capacity auditorium, industry-standard recording studio and an atmospheric café and bar area, perfect for pre-concert drinks.
