55% of London workers will remain working from home
Lockdown restrictions may be lifting, however 55% of office workers in the capital will continue to work from home, reveals new research. What’s more, around 2 in 3 Londoners (64%) are desperate for more space at home, with 36% stressed with the clutter and say their mental health has been affected – so help is at hand. Attic Self Storage has launched a new site in Marylebone and teamed up with celebrity organisers, the Style Sisters (to the likes of Rita Ora, Amanda Holden and Millie Mackintosh), to tackle the city’s biggest space challenge.
The research revealed that the top issues people in the capital wants help with are: how to create space to boost wellness (34%); how to organise and store a seasonal wardrobe space (30%); creative solutions to work from home (30%); and guidance with children’s space (20%). The ‘Style with Attictude’ campaign will be helping Londoners with these key woes.
Following an uptake in Londoners using storage facilities over recent months, Attic Self Storage is also rolling out new facilities including Marylebone to meet the demand, with the bedroom (33%) being the number one room in which Londoners are struggling with space; followed by the kitchen (25%); living room (24%); workspace (19%), and bathroom (15%).
With over a third (34%) of Londoners saying their bosses see no point in returning to costly office spaces (34% said their offices have already been shut for good), with 24% feeling lonely and claustrophobic, 23% drinking more alcohol and saying their diet isn’t as good; and 8% are arguing or in the process of splitting up with their partner.
With 58% of Londoners being happy with their current home and only 19% wanting to relocate following the pandemic, self-storage has become a popular consideration for 59% of the population, along with 30% who are creating muti-use areas at home.
The Style Sisters duo, Charlotte Reddington and Gemma Lilly, will be showing how to detox, organise and re-style homes and wardrobes. With over 15 years of experience in fashion and interiors under their belts, other celebrity clients include Rochelle Humes, Billie Friars and Kimberley Walsh, to name just a few.
Founder and Managing Director, Frederic de Ryckman de Betz of Attic Self Storage, comments; “With more of us set to work from home, Attic is rolling out new sites including Marylebone this summer, which will provide storage units with 24/7 access for convenience and the latest technology to manage and unlock units via an app. We hope teaming up with celebrity organisers, the Style Sisters, complements Attic’s efforts to make the most of the space in our homes”.
