An East London animation worker will be riding to work in style after scooping a brand-new e-bike worth almost £3,000 thanks to BOTB’s Luxury Lifestyle Competition.

Laurent Giaume, who turns 34 next week, was at home in Victoria Park when BOTB presenter Christian Williams video called him to tell him he was this week’s winner and had bagged himself a brand-new VanMoof S3 electric bike.

Laurent paid just 15p for his ticket to enter the competition after ‘falling in love’ with the e-bike in-store.

“Oh wow – that’s amazing,” he said. “I’ve already got the V2 version at the moment and I love it but I tried the new model out in the shop and it’s so much more powerful.”

Laurent, who’s originally from France, said he was going to give in and buy the new electric bike but decided to have one more go on BOTB.

“I can’t believe this is happening, it’s crazy,” he added. “I ride my bike everywhere including to work and it’s just such a nice way to start the day – so much better than the tube! I love it so I can’t wait to upgrade to the S3. Thank you BOTB!”

Since being founded in 1999 by William Hindmarch, BOTB has given away more than £34m worth of prizes, including supercars, cash and holidays.

The company, listed on the stock market, hands over the keys to two stunning cars each week as well as a ‘lifestyle’ prize. Recent winners have bagged a quad bike, a holiday to the Arctic and £15,000 in cash.
