Daniel ‘Dynamite’ Dubois is in some form, and he’s looking to continue his unbeaten record against fellow heavyweight boxer, Joe Joyce, who too, boasts a 100% record in his professional career thus far. Their bout, slated for November 28^th, has been postponed twice already due to the coronavirus pandemic and lockdown restrictions imposed across England, but fans will be glad that it’s third time luck as they gear up to what is likely to be a tasty encounter.

Originally set to take place at London’s O2 arena, the re-arranged venue is yet to be announced, but is likely to be the BT Sport studio in Stratford, where most of the fights behind closed doors have taken place. With Frank Warren making a u-turn decision against making the fight PPV, it certainly makes sense.

For those checking the latest Joyce vs Dubois odds, Dubois is the overwhelming favourite, given his experience and record. In this upcoming bout, Dynamite will be defending his British and Commonwealth titles once more, while the victor will be named European Heavyweight champion too, with that title currently vacant.

While Joyce is 12 years his senior, Dynamite has more experience in the ring, and boasts an incredible knockout record, winning all 15 of his professional fights to date –14 by way of knockout. Joyce, meanwhile, has a record of 11-0, with 10 wins coming by KO. It’s bound to be tense contest, with many predicting that it could well go all the way.

And Dynamite is confident heading into the ring. He recently told the media: “I think I can get him early or late. It doesn’t matter.

“Fast or slow, it doesn’t matter. It’s gonna be a win for me whatever way I have to do it. Win by any means necessary and come through it if it’s early or late.”

With talk fast turning to a possible heavyweight showdown for the winner, promoter Frank Warren has suggested that undefeated Ukrainian fighter Oleksandr Usyk could well be up next. Usyk had previously sent an ultimatum to Anthony Joshua to vacate his title, or defend his belt in a bout against Tyson Fury. The WBO world number one has been the mandatory WBO challenger for some time now, and with Dubois ranked in second, it would be only natural for the Greenwich boxer to take on Usyk next.

When asked about a potential bout, Dubois said: “[I’m] definitely [ready for the likes of Usyk]. All the amateur skills and movement, it’s the basics of boxing. You need to be athletic as a heavyweight and I’ve got that. I’ve got the tools to go far in this division.”

And he’s certainly had the right training as he has progressed up the ranks, with Dubois acting as sparring partner for both Fury and Joshua – and rumours that he floored the latter, which were never confirmed, nor denied. He’s not only one of the biggest hitters in the division, but the sport in general, and while there will be massive amounts of pressure on Dubois to retain his titles and unbeaten record, a win against Joyce would certainly set him on the right path as he continues to dominate heavyweight boxing.
