ART-K OPENS NEW BRANCH IN SHEPHERD’S BUSH - London TV

ART-K OPENS NEW BRANCH IN SHEPHERD’S BUSH

art-K, the leading provider of educational art classes for children in high street studios across the UK, has opened a branch in Shepherd’s Bush, London, to cater to growing demand for access to art classes in the local area.

Catering to children aged 6-16, the new branch offers classes throughout weekdays and weekends, giving an opportunity to learn new skills and develop confidence across a spectrum of styles and mediums.

art-K Shepherd’s Bush Art Leader Thea Christy-Parker, who previously ran the Carshalton branch, said: “We are thrilled to be setting up this branch in Shepherd’s Bush, which offers a fantastic new addition to the community. We look forward to helping as many children as possible to spark a passion for art, and maintain that passion, and we will be open throughout the summer holiday period to ensure that opportunity is available.”

As the daughter of an artist, and graduate of Design Academy Eindhoven, Christy-Parker has had the chance to learn how to make art all her life. The new studio creates an opportunity to share this knowledge with others, to connect with the community and artistically inspire children who can grow in talent and confidence.

She added: “Art has always been a part of my life, and I can’t wait to pass that on to students and show them how vibrant and inclusive it can be!”

After-school classes are available currently through to the end of Summer Term on 24 July.

Starting from 13 July, the branch will offer daytime summer workshops – a significant benefit to children and their parents in this year of the staycation.

The workshops encourage children to explore paper sculpture, clay, design, mixed media, watercolour and acrylics. Each workshop is designed to enable children to complete a piece of artwork and take it home at the end of the session.

Additionally, both the after-school classes and summer workshops are available to those on qualifying voucher schemes, including: Eden Red, Care-4, Sodexo, Kiddi Vouchers and Computer Share.

The branch address is: 114 Askew Road, London, W12 9BL.
