PLANT-BASED EATERY, KOJO TO LAUNCH SECOND SITE IN LIVERPOOL STREET

The second site for ground-breaking plant-based eatery KOJO – launched by Nobu London Portman Square executive chef Michael Paul and nutritional therapist Alina Gromova-Jones in December – is set to open a KOJO TO GO in London’s Liverpool Street this month.

Alina has big plans for KOJO – with more sites in the pipeline – they believe in creating authentic and naturally delicious plant-based meals that help support the health and wellbeing of everyone. Because caring what you eat is also about caring where you eat!

The new Devonshire Square site is the second location for KOJO, but the first KOJO TO GO concept focusing on grab and go only. Its flagship Hampstead site, where you can take away or eat in, having been opened just eight months ago. Future KOJO TO GO stores will all focus on fresh food on the go.

KOJO is:

100% plant-based

Organic

Dairy-free

Gluten-free

Refined sugar-free

Free
of all chemical additives

Freshly
prepared and made on site daily

Committed to compostable processes on top
of recycling, re-using and sourcing ingredients locally

That
means that everything you put into your body is good – and everything you get out of it will be good too!

Alina
explained: “KOJO is born out of a passion for nutrition. Creating a menu that can do good for ourselves as well as our planet, that places us at the centre of a growing community which is prioritising the health of the environment in order to protect our own
health and wellbeing.”

“It’s
a simple belief based on the premise that you get out what you put in. After all, it’s no coincidence that the best way to look after our own health is to look after the health of the planet.”

Whether
your diet is already plant-based or you want to reduce the amount of meat you eat, changing to a plant-based diet can not only reduce our food carbon footprint by up to 73%, it can also significantly reduce the risk of heart diseases, diabetes, stroke and
many forms of cancer.

Alina
added: “Eating a plant-based diet is one of the most powerful ways to re-connect with nature and to return to our instinctive way of caring for the planet. If we care for nature, nature will care for us. That is what we firmly believe.”

“KOJO
is more than just an eatery, it’s a movement. The KOJO Kolture is the universal expression of that movement. From the art on the walls, down to the beats they play, their approach is a bit different and designed for the ‘koltured’ consumer who is equally concerned
about the environment as they are the food and experience.”

KOJO
plans to feature collaborative content that their community can relate to on a deeper level. Partnering with
The
Art Plug
— a Miami based creative collective, as a source for talent. Various visual artists have already been commissioned, including
Graceland
London
and
lefty
OUT there,
to create unique murals and a one-of-a-kind KOJOBE@R in every store.
