A FRESH NEW LOOK FOR THE PRINCE BONAPARTE IN NOTTING HILL
The Prince Bonaparte in Notting Hill has now reopened following a stylish refurbishment to modernise the popular pub and eatery.
Steeped in history, the pub was originally built in 1850 and known as the Artesian. The historic site went on to become The Prince Bonaparte, named after Prince Louis Lucien Bonaparte who lived nearby on Westbourne Grove.
Following six figure investment, the pub has been given a stunning internal and external new look, resulting in a fresh new feel that compliments classic features and pays homage to the building’s heritage.
With a renewed focus on food, chefs at The Prince Bonaparte have developed an exquisite new menu. From large cuts of meat to whole turbot specials and seasonal small plates for sharing, the menu caters for all.
They’re passionate about serving seasonal and sustainable produce as well as using fire to cook. The chefs will create dishes that are focussed on smoking, grilling and charring. Whether that be an aged Picanha steak, seared scallops or grilled seasonable vegetables, 99% of the food offering will touch hot coals before the plate.
For those looking to dine, the refurbished bar area flows into an open kitchen where the five-star food will be served to guests. What’s more, the existing skylight will be clad in a new decorative fretwork alongside brand-new lighting to provide texture to the walls, creating a cosy and welcoming atmosphere in the area.
The bar has been totally revitalised with rich leathers and deep timbers offering a warm and inviting space. With ample sociable seating, and the reworked bar counter which provides additional seating for guests to drink or eat, the space is now perfect to welcome groups and couples alike.
Guest bathrooms have also received a chic makeover, with Victorian wall tiling in an off-white coupled with grey and white hexagonal mosaic flooring giving a fresh look and feel to traditional features.
Mid-century detailing is retained in joinery features of the washroom doors in warm timber tones, combined with the addition of green marble to add warmth. Brass fixtures and fittings elevate the space and ensure the design is in keeping with the sleek interiors throughout the rest of the venue.
Outside, there’s even a brand-new sign which immediately positions The Prince Bonaparte as an inviting destination at the heart of the community.
Jack Regan, General Manager at The Prince Bonaparte said: “The new refurbishment brings a fresh and modern feel to our venue, and we’re really pleased to offer a revived, warm and inviting space for our guests.”
“The Prince Bonaparte is the heart of the local community and that will never change. Whether it’s a drink with friends or an evening meal for two we will always provide a warm and friendly welcome.”
“Our passion is our guests, and we wouldn’t have it any other way”
