Pedler Good Fortune opens in Peckham

SE15 has welcomed a new neighbourhood restaurant to the area with the recent launch of Pedler Good Fortune. This urban nook, with an eclectic and individual vibe, offers an Asian menu drawing on inspirations from across the continent; expect well-executed small plates, reimagined tipples, and gin cocktails aplenty.

Bringing a fun, playful, and unique dining and drinking experience to the South London borough, Pedler Good Fortune comprises a criss-cross Asian restaurant as well as an upstairs gin bar, serving Little Bird Gin – made in-house by the distilling team.

Originally Pedler, which opened in 2014, former Drake & Morgan Director Taskin Muzaffer has reimagined the once effortlessly cool bistro, rebranding with a different menu and moving to a new home on Queen’s Road. Teaming up with Little Bird Gin founder Tim Moore, the duo have created two spaces that focus on conviviality, and a lively atmosphere.

Recently launched, Pedler Good Fortune champions Asia’s melting pot of flavours and ingredients, utilising locally sourced produce to create complex East Meets West dishes. With the menu designed to be shared, highlights from the dinner menu include: Goi Woi(‘1000’ cut sweet potato, Mizo glaze, shiitake, spring onions, crispy seaweed); Crab and Green Mango Salad (chilli, basil, mint, tangerine); Singaporean Sautéed Asparagus (ginger, egg yolk, fragrant sausage); and Peanut Butter Tofu Buns (burnt chilli mayo, sesame and pickles).

Those looking to burn the midnight oil should head upstairs to the after-hours gin bar. Knocking out a range of house-made specials and classic serves, the space keeps everything local, using Little Bird Gin as the star of the cocktails.

Giving brunch a Pedler Good Fortune makeover, expect popular early morning dishes with an Asian twist. Think Okonomiyaki(Japanese egg pancake, cabbage, leek, dashi, That Sauce, Kewpie); Angry Eggs (3 scrambled eggs, G’s Attitude Sauce, beansprouts, coriander, bok choy, scallions, sesame bun); and Fried Wild Mushrooms (ginger and garlic, rice, noodles, soy, lime and scallions).

With neon signage, industrial fixtures, and low lighting, Pedler Good Fortune is a one-stop-shop for all things cocktails and delicious eats. Located 2-minute walk from Queen’s Road Station, and with guest DJs at weekends, a feast of good fortune awaits.
