Bar Liber, the new disruptive wine & cocktail concept has announced a stellar line-up of bar takeovers, being joined by the creme de la creme of the European bar scene to celebrate London Cocktail Week 2021.

Joining Bar Liber for the month-long celebration will be Dirty Dicks (Paris), ISM (Oslo), Copa (Lisbon), the world famous Boadas (Barcelona), Clumsies (Athens), US bar legend Christine Wiseman and Cocktail Man and Indie Bartender Danil Nevsky.

London Cocktail Week 2021 will be an enormous celebration of the capital’s fantastic cocktail scene, with Signature Cocktails and immersive experiences in hundreds of the best bars in the city.

Bar Liber opened officially on St Pauls Road, Islington this June led by one of the industry’s biggest names, Stuart Hudson.

Named after the Roman God of wine, viticulture, fertility & freedom, Bar Liber is situated on St Paul’s Road, Islington, created with the sole purpose of making wine fun again.

Hudson has specially curated a host of bar takeovers to celebrate the month-long London Cocktail Week, seeing the best of the European bar scene heading to Islington.

DIRTY DICKS X BAR LIBER TAKEOVER

Join Scotty Schuder and Alex Sadio from the internationally acclaimed Dirty Dicks in Paris, as they take over Bar Liber for one night only during London Cocktail Week. Join them and enjoy a bespoke menu of “tikified” wine cocktails, created in conjunction with Moët Hennessy.

GRAND MARNIER BRUNCH AT BAR LIBER

Head to Bar Liber on Saturday the 16th of October for their Ultimate Brunch, created in conjunction with Grand Marnier. You will be treated to three beautifully curated Grand Marnier cocktails, including the London Cocktail Week £7 Cocktail created by the team at Bar Liber. These will be served alongside a delectable two course brunch menu, chosen specially for the day, to best showcase these irresistible drinks.

ISM X BAR LIBER TAKEOVER

COPA X BAR LIBER TAKEOVER

See what has made Copa one of the best bars in all of Portugal and one of our favourites. Enjoy Raf’s, Loulou and Copa’s love of Brazil, Cachaca and all things Rum in general with a beautifully inspired bespoke menu for this one night only take over. Expect to experience Cachaca in ways you’ve never tasted or seen, served by some of the best people in the industry, with some banging tunes to match.

BOADAS X BAR LIBER TAKEOVER

Come and witness history, as Adal Marquez from the historic and world famous Boadas in Barcelona takes over Bar Liber. Widely known as one of the greatest bars on the planet, the historic Boadas is known for keeping the art of cocktail throwing alive.

Adal will be showcasing his phenomenal new menu, which is itself a world first, and you’ll be incredibly lucky to be one of the first in the world to experience it outside of Boadas. Each of his beautiful creations are matched with a small bite to best heighten the impact of the drink, all of which will be enjoyed with the sounds of Boadas’s own bespoke soundtrack for the night.

From gallivanting across the globe training bartenders old and new, and generally being an all-round superstar, Danil will be gracing them with a stunning array of Grand Marnier drinks created especially for this one night only event for London Cocktail Week.

CLUMSIES X BAR LIBER TAKEOVER

The world-renowned and multi award-winning Clumsies from Athens, descends on London for one-night-only, to take over Bar Liber in conjunction with Moët Hennessy. Join Vasilis and Nikos as they create magic yet again with a bespoke menu for this takeover to end takeovers as they close out London Cocktail Week in style.

The London Cocktail wristbands can also get you access to two spectacular £7 cocktails at Bar Liber. Saints & Lapostolle: Grand Marnier Louis Alexander, Rum, Strawberry Syrup, Red Wine and Sparkling Wine and Greece Lightning: Axia Mastika, Grand Marnier Louis Alexander, Madeira, Pineapple Syrup, Mint and Champagne.

One of Bar Liber’s most disruptive cocktails, the Empire Punch, sees the first full recreation of this amazing wine cocktail in many decades.

Sourced from Harry Johnson’s seminal Bartenders Manual, first published in the 1880’s, a combination of liqueurs, wine and Champagne including Hennessy Paradis Imperial Cognac, Dom Perignon 2010 Champagne, Patricius 6 Puttonyos Tokaji, Blandy’s 1980 Serical Madeira and Chateau Lafite 2008, the Empire Punch is worth a staggering £5k, and will be made in specialist batches, costing £100 per serving.

Bar Liber has also created a limited-edition version of the Empire Punch for London Cocktail Week, The Empire Punches Back, a New World response.

This combines Black Tot 51th Anniversary Rum, Hennessy Paradis Imperial Cognac, Pelorus 2008 Sparkling, Patricius 6 Puttonyos Tokaji, Blandy’s 1980 Serical Madeira and Chateau Lafite 2008. Mixed with fruits and liqueurs, costing £100 per serving.
