DLD College London Appoints New Vice Principal (Academic)
DLD College London has announced the appointment of Dr Sarah Watson as Vice Principal (Academic), strengthening the school’s senior leadership team.
With a wealth of leadership experience and a strong background in education, Sarah will join the multi-award-winning school in January 2022. For the last two and a half years, Sarah held the position of Vice Principal at the International School of Geneva, Switzerland. Prior to this, Sarah was Head of College at King George V School (part of English Schools Foundation) for ten years and was a Head of Department in Wade Deacon School in the North of England for three years.
In addition to a Bachelor of Science in Geography (BSc) from the University of Liverpool and a Post Graduate Certificate of Education (PGCE), Sarah’s desire to pursue further study has also led to her holding a Master of Education (MEd) and Doctor of Education (EdD) from the University of Western Australia.
Outside of school, Sarah is a keen explorer and hiker – with one key highlight of her expeditions including a trip to Everest Base Camp. She is also a talented musician and saxophonist, performing globally in orchestras and bands.
Commenting on her new role Sarah said, “I am excited to have this opportunity to be a part of and contribute to the wonderful community at DLD College London. I am hugely passionate about education and supporting the development of young people, enabling them to become resilient, knowledgeable, innovative and compassionate members of society, and leaders of the future.”
DLD College London Principal, Irfan Latif added, “Sarah has considerable experience, a wealth of knowledge and will be a strong addition to our Senior Leadership Team. She will add great value to our pioneering school, as we strive to maintain a ‘gold standard’ of educational quality, while nurturing self-confident and responsible young people who are well equipped to meet future challenges. We are delighted that Sarah is joining us.”
