On the 1st March, The Derek Paravicini Quartet will be playing an intimate show in the Diamond Jubilee Tea Salon, at Fortnum & Mason.

The Derek Paravicini Quartet is the must-hear group, following their successful debut on the BBC’s ‘In Tune’ programme. Four stunningly talented young musicians combine to create a unique sound, portraying a kaleidoscope of emotions, varying from achingly sad to humorous to infused with warmth, and all shot through with a fiery virtuosity. The group are a musical chameleon, able to change their sonic palette to suit any occasion, with breath-taking new takes on classic songs and jazz standards, and a repertoire from ragtime to Radiohead, from Irving Berlin to the Beatles, from Cole Porter to Coldplay.

In aid of The Amber Trust, £10.00 from each ticket purchased will be donated to the charity, and there will also be a raffle on the evening with fantastic prizes.

The Amber Trust was founded in 1995 with the aim to provide blind and partially sighted children, including those with additional disabilities, the best possible chance to meet their musical needs and aspirations. They have grown to become the only national charity dedicated to supporting visually impaired children with their musical development and education and aim to enhance the lives of as many of the 25,000 visually impaired children in the UK as possible through music, and to promote high quality music provision.

Guests to arrive at 6.30pm for a glass of Fortnum’s Champagne or Sparkling Tea and a selection of savoury canapes. Following the performance, Fortnum’s Classic Afternoon Tea with Champagne will be served, before Derek and his Quartet take requests.
