Shoppers, commuters and local businesses in Walthamstow are set to benefit from the opening of a new digital car park which offers an increased variety of booking and payment methods.

The car park at 17&Central’s shopping centre, which is located on Selborne Road next to Walthamstow Central Station, is now operated by YourParkingSpace, the UK’s fastest growing parking technology provider.

As well as traditional methods of payment via card and coin at kiosks, there is now an option to book and pay for parking via a mobile phone through www.yourparkingspace.co.uk and downloadable iOS and Android apps. QR code payments have also been introduced for the first time, with customers able to pay for hourly, daily or monthly parking via scanning a QR code on the on-site signage.
The alternative methods of payment are designed to reduce queues and boost contactless payment at the car park which has over 500 spaces.
