A man has been arrested after he injured a woman following a collision and then drove his car at a police vehicle.

Police were initially called at 13:53hrs on Saturday, 28 July to reports of a woman injured after being involved in a collision with a black Ford Fiesta in Southampton Road, NW5.

The woman – aged in her 30s – was unloading items from a parked van when the Fiesta drove towards her vehicle. As she attempted to close the rear door to allow the car to pass, the Fiesta collided with the door and the woman before driving off from the scene.

Officers and London Ambulance Service attended and the victim was treated – she was not seriously injured. While on the scene, a witness pointed out the same car was being driven back down the street. The victim is now seeking advice from auto accident injury lawyers to see if she is rightfully owed compensation for her frightening ordeal. Although she was not seriously injured, the ordeal was still terrifying, and she may have lasting mental health issues that may appear later on down the line.

On seeing officers, the male driver of the car once again made off from the scene. His frantic actions could have caused serious damage to other pedestrians as well as vehicles but thankfully, his actions did not create serious injury.

The officers followed and saw the Fiesta pull over in Queens Crescent, NW5. As they parked their vehicle behind the car, it suddenly reversed, colliding with the front of the police car before driving off. The police officers in the patrol car were not harmed but their vehicle did incur some frontal damage.
