Over 3,500 Attend the Largest Ever London Home Show
Over 3,500 hopeful first time buyers attended the London Home Show on Saturday 2nd April 2022, eager to take their first step onto the property ladder. The largest show to date, with 62 exhibitors, 13 sponsors and 11 live sessions, the London Home Show showcased thousands of Shared Ownership and Help to Buy properties available across London and the Home Counties.
Hosted by Share to Buy, the UK’s leading online portal for affordable homes, the London Home Show is a one stop shop for those looking to find out more about alternative home ownership options. On the day, attendees were able to speak directly with the exhibiting teams, as well as attend a series of First Time Buyer Workshops, which gave visitors a chance to learn about the different home-buying options available to them from a range of industry experts. In addition, visitors were able to attend live Ask the Expert Q&A Sessions, covering everything from understanding Shared Ownership and Help to Buy eligibility criteria to perfecting your credit score.
A new offering for 2022 and hugely popular with attendees, a series of Affordability Workshops were also hosted with first time buyer mortgage specialists Censeo Financial, giving attendees the opportunity to ask their questions about the mortgage process and learn about the options available to them. In a dedicated ‘Expert Zone’, a number of other independent mortgage advisors and solicitors also had stands, offering free financial and legal guidance while answering purchasers’ questions about the buying process. The event also offered information about quality rental alternatives including London Living Rent.
Nick Lieb, Head of Operations for Share to Buy, comments: “We were delighted to welcome thousands of hopeful first time buyers to our fifteenth London Home Show on Saturday. Our brand new ‘Expert Zone’ was particularly popular, with hundreds of attendees looking to navigate the complex world of mortgages, financial eligibility and lease agreements.
While we live in an increasingly digital age, we know that for something as important as buying your first home, many people still want the opportunity to discuss their options in person and meet with experts. The London Home Show offers that, and we’re delighted that so many potential buyers will have left the event feeling better informed of their options and more optimistic about their chances of getting on the property ladder.
We are looking forward to a busy few months ahead for the housing industry, as demand for affordable homes clearly remains stronger than ever – both in the capital and across the Home Counties.”
Partnering with the largest number of the sector’s leading housing providers and sales agents to date, sponsors of the event included L&Q, Latimer by Clarion Housing Group, Peabody, SO Resi, Southern Home Ownership, Optivo New Homes, Catalyst, Notting Hill Genesis, FABRICA by A2Dominion, Countryside Partnerships, Galliard Homes, Taylor Wimpey and SiteSales Property Group.
The next London Home Show will take place in Autumn 2022. Tickets will be released in the summer, register for more details nearer the time on sharetobuy.com
