CHESSINGTON WORLD OF ADVENTURE’S ANIMAL RESIDENTS GET READY FOR EASTER BANK HOLIDAY WEEKEND
With families across the UK making the most of the long Easter bank holiday weekend from tomorrow, and millions tucking into their Easter eggs, the expert zoo team at Chessington World of Adventures Zoo are making sure the animals don’t feel left out and have been coming up with some egg-cellent enrichment for the Resort’s inhabitants.
Not wanting to miss out, some of the Zoo’s residents including Bolivian squirrel monkeys, Rothschild’s giraffes, North American raccoons and striped skunks have even been treated to some animal-friendly styled Easter eggs. The troop of squirrel monkeys were up to some monkey business with miniature variations of Easter eggs filled with sweet treats including fruits such as apple.
With the sun shining down, resident raccoon Dakota and skunk Storm tested their very own egg made from fish gelatine. The tower of giraffe enjoyed a particularly chilly version – a layered frozen egg filled with a range of the tall-necked animals’ favourite treats, including melon and carrot.
