FORTNUM & MASON CONTINUES SERIES OF CREATIVE EXHIBITIONS THAT CHAMPION BRITISH CRAFTSMANSHIP
Fortnum & Mason are hosting three more exhibitions as part of ‘The Art of the Exceptional, a Jubilee Celebration of Makers’ series to
celebrate the wealth of talent across crafts and making.
Situated on the third floor of their Piccadilly store, the extraordinary exhibitions are free to visit during store opening hours Monday to Sunday, with the next exhibition showcasing
the talent of Royal Warrant Holders and, respectively, 19 QEST exhibitors who specialise in Wood, Glass, and Paper.
Additionally, Fortnum’s are hosting a hand-picked and ever-evolving showcase of products from fellow Royal Warrant holders – businesses, like Fortnum’s, whose work has been recognised
by the Royal family for the quality of craftmanship and its enduring quality.
The wonderful Illustration and Typography exhibition will also be available for the full duration of Fortnum & Mason’s partnership with QEST. From sign writing and letter carving to children’s
book illustration and decorative painting, this exhibition is a must-see.
Commissioned Makers for the Hamper
The crowning moment of the exhibition will be the creation of the ‘Jubilee Hamper’ – a one-of-a-kind handmade wicker, filled with artisan products created during the exhibition.
There will be a final exciting exhibition to reveal the completed hamper and all the backstories to the objects and the food. This exhibition will be accompanied by The Scent of Summer,
a celebration of all things floral.
Fostering the makers of the future, the one-off hamper will be sold with all profits going towards funding a QEST scholarship.
