WENDY’S ANNOUNCES CAMDEN RESTAURANT OPENING WITH MURAL OF THE ICONIC WENDY LOGO

To celebrate the neighbourhood, and to launch its new Camden restaurant, Wendy’s®, the iconic American hamburger brand, has today revealed a new street art mural inspired – and created – by the Camden community. With streets filled with abstract art, a vibrant community known for being bold and individual, and a food scene that rivals any other borough, Camden has become a beating-heart of the London cultural scene.

In collaboration with the Camden Open Air Gallery (COAG), the mural gives the famous Wendy’s logo a fresh Camden twist – replacing Wendy’s pigtails with three distinctive hairstyles. The three new looks include punk-inspired hair spikes, a flowing fringe and a bouffant quiff, representing the enduring independent spirit and eclectic fashions throughout the years of Camden and the community that makes it the melting pot of people, cultures, styles, and personalities it is today.

COAG, a collective of Camden artists whose aim is to re-imagine Camden Town by creating an open-air art gallery, with the artwork setting the stage for Wendy’s brand-new restaurant launching on June 28. The mural will remain part of the Camden Street art scene until early July and fans can choose their favourite hairstyle on social to decide Wendy’s permanent Camden look for the new restaurant. Wendy’s fans can vote for their favourite on the brand’s UK Instagram channel, @wendysuk.

Paul Hilder, SVP and Managing Director, Wendy’s UK and Canada commented: “Camden is an incredibly lively, eclectic borough, so we can’t wait to welcome the community to our eighth company-operated restaurant in the UK when doors open later this month.”

The opening of Wendy’s Camden marks the brand’s eighth Company-operated restaurant in the UK following Reading, Stratford, Oxford, Croydon, and Romford last year, and Brighton and Ilford earlier this year. The new Camden restaurant will provide fans with the signature Wendy’s items they know and love across breakfast, lunch, and dinner, including the Baconator®, Dave’s Single™, the Spicy Chicken Sandwich and of course the Frosty® dessert (in chocolate AND vanilla) – always serving the freshly prepared, quality food that Wendy’s is known for at affordable prices, while providing exceptional hospitality and friendly customer service.

A full Wendy’s-style breakfast menu is also available before 10:30 a.m., offering early-door delights such as the Breakfast Baconator, Croissant Sandwiches and the Classic Egg & Cheese Sandwich with optional bacon or sausage, plus a range of high-quality coffee options including Flat Whites, Cappuccinos and Lattes.

The Camden restaurant is located on Camden High Street (189 Camden High St, London NW1 7BP) just opposite of the exit to Camden Town Underground Station.

Opening hours of the Camden restaurant are:
· Monday-Thursday 7:00am-10:00pm
· Friday-Saturday 7:00am-11:00pm
· Sunday 8:00am-10:00pm
