Festa del Pomodoro: Vapiano celebrates the essentials of Italian cuisine

Fresh pasta and pizza restaurant, Vapiano, announces the launch of its summer menu; Festa del Pomodoro, introducing brand new dishes including two new starters, a pasta and pizza, as well as three cocktails – with two new frozen drinks to follow in July. The summer menu kicks off today and ends on the 27th September, 2022.

A season of celebrating the humble tomato, Vapiano has worked with the same Bologna supplier for several years, visiting during harvest each year to carefully select its range for the coming year. The Italian-inspired restaurant embraces the culture’s relaxed style of cooking, but with a twist. The new pasta, Salmone e Pomodoro, is a reimagination of the beloved tomato pasta, but with the addition of salmon fillet bites – making for a pescatarian’s delight. All for £10.95.

Next Up: Gamberetti e Salami pizza. A fusion of Mediterranean land and sea, adorned with grilled prawns, Italian pepperoni, tomatoes, fresh basil and mozzarella on a tomato base for £11.95.

The two antipasti starters spotlight the vital ingredients to essential Italian cuisine. Starting with toasted ciabatta, you can either compliment the staple bread with a mixture of roasted Med veg and sun-dried tomatoes, with a cherry tomato and red pepper dip – named the Verdure Grigliate Antipasto for £5.95. Or accompany the bread with garlic and lime marinated king prawns with Vapiano’s favoured garlic and herb dip – called the Gamberetti Antipasto for £9.95.

To quench your thirst, Vapiano introduces three cocktails for the warmer weather, including the glamorous passion fruit martini, refreshing pink gin spritz and a non-alcoholic light pink spritz, based on the sweet strawberry.
