London’s largest disability hub opens its doors for the first time
Brixton is home to 18 organisations all under the same roof, offering support to live independently in a wide variety of ways. With funding from Battersea Power Station Foundation, We are 336 is opening their doors on the 27th September for the first ever showcase of all the organisations in the building.
Councillor Lib Peck will also be there to show her support on the day!
Some charities based at We are 336 are very well known to people in Lambeth and others are very small charities that people wish they knew about sooner whenever they find out about them.
This event is open to anyone with a personal or professional interest in Disability and other related issues, like what the social model of disability means, short-term disability insurance: why you need it and where to get it, and how best to support a loved one living with a disability. You can also try out accessible cycles that you never knew existed and learn about what all the organizations in the building offer.
The event is on Thursday 27th September, from 10am to 3pm. We are 336 is based at 336 Brixton Road, London, SW9 7AA. Please come down, say hello and have a cup of tea with us!
