Emerging brand Typical Freaks launch at 12 Piccadilly Arcade Pop-Up
London based fashion brand Typical Freaks announce their one month pop up this August at the 12 Piccadilly Arcade creative space.
This will be the first ever bricks and mortar retail space for London based fashion brand Typical Freaks, the label launched in 2016 by Central Saint Martins’ MA Fashion graduate, Seun Ade-Onojobi and London College of Fashion, UAL graduate Sonia Xiao.
Their maximalist, printed textiles take inspiration from their life growing up in London and the joy of bringing fun and colour to making clothes. Many of their one-off, exclusive designs are stocked in boutiques across Asia, 12 Piccadilly Arcade pop-up shop, presents an exciting opportunity for people in their hometown to see their designs in person.
The shop is a celebration of their love of art, design and sustainability and will feature fashion designs from many of their collections. Their pop up will also function as an interactive space with workshops open to the public on various themes from fashion illustration to upcycling. More information will be announced on the event series soon.
12 Piccadilly Arcade comes out of a partnership between Westminster City Council, GPE, Heart of London Business Alliance and Appear Here, and is using vacant retail space to enable small scale businesses, homegrown brands and emerging creative talent to showcase in a bricks & mortar store in Central London. This pop-up boutique will be home to 12 brands, all of whom are passionate about craftsmanship, creativity & sustainability. Each month, the unit at 12 Piccadilly Arcade will act as a working studio for new and exciting brands.
