Hyperoptic backs Women’s football with new QPR FC Women partnership
Hammersmith-based hyperfast broadband provider Hyperoptic continues its support for sport in West London with a deal to sponsor QPR FC Women.
The sponsorship deal will see the Hyperoptic logo on the back of the QPR FC Women shirt. The team will play home fixtures at Hanwell Town’s Powerday Stadium with selected matches at Loftus Road.
QPR was the first club of Euro 2022 winning goal scorer Chloe Kelly.
Last year, Hyperoptic sponsored the QPR in the Community Trust, supporting a football tournament for 25,000 young players. Hyperoptic, which is headquartered in Hammersmith, has a ‘full fibre’ broadband network that passes nearly one million homes across the UK, including more than 40,000 in West London.
The company pioneered the shift to ‘full fibre’ broadband ten years ago, enabling consumers and businesses to enjoy reliable broadband with average speeds of up to 900Mbps, which is more than 18x faster than the UK average. The company has now expanded its network to 64 UK towns and cities. It is available in every London borough and is working hard to make West London a centre of broadband excellence.
Hayley Peacock, QPR FC Women first team captain, said: “Women’s football has never been more high profile, and it’s great to see a big, local business like Hyperoptic get behind us with their support. We’re all so proud to wear the QPR badge, and we want to take the club to the next level in the Women’s game – sponsorship is a key part of that.”
Charles Davies, MD ISP, Hyperoptic: “We’re proud to continue our relationship with QPR, now helping to grow the profile of the Women’s team. The role that we play in our local community is hugely important to us, and we look forward to helping our people get down to see the games, and to helping promote the team to our followers.”
