Pre-Marathon checklist: Rise & Run and Refuel with The Westin London City

The Westin London City is gearing up to become the ultimate runner’s paradise this London Marathon, kicking off next month with a special Rise & Run led by running guru Charlie Watson (aka @therunnerbeans) followed by calming yoga class.

On 26 September, the evening will invite runners from beginners to marathoners to join a 5k route through the capital’s most scenic landmarks – including Tower Bridge, Borough Market, Millennium Bridge and St Paul’s Cathedral – before heading back to the hotel for refreshments and relaxing yoga. To ensure everyone feels comfortable on the run, the route will be led by several guide paces, including Rise & Run Ambassador Charlie and the Westin London City’s Run Concierge.

For those looking to take relaxation to the next level, look no further than the Heavenly Spa by Westin. Soothe sore muscles with the state-of-the-art HyperIce station or a restorative deep tissue massage, or simply relax in the sauna, stream room, sensory shower or enchanting 12 metre pool, built around the remains of a Roman bathhouse.
