Putin is desperate and Ukraine is paying in blood to defend the West, says MP

VLADIMIR Putin’s threat to use nuclear weapons against the West shows he is desperate, according to a Ukrainian MP.

Mr Goncharenko told GB News: “First of all, it shows us that Putin is desperate and really understands that he is losing this war, because he was saying to his people many times that I will never make a mobilisation, there is no need.

“Now he’s saying, yes, we need it, and we should do it to save Russia.

“Secondly, this is again, one more clear signal that for Putin it’s not a war against Ukraine, all of his new speech was about the west.

“He was saying it to the west, he was accusing us, that it wants to destroy Russia, so that is very important.”

He added: “Will there be 300,000 people…and will it change the result? The answer is no.

“This is more cannon meat. You will put it in cans, in the metal cans of Soviet old tanks, and you’ll send them to Ukraine, and they will die like thousands of them before already died.

“That can prolong the war but they can’t change the result of the war, they will lose in any case.

“This is a gesture of desperation but also what is important is his words about mass destruction weaponry that he’s ready to use it.

“There should be a clear answer first from Ukraine and our answer is never.”

Mr Goncharenko said: “We will never accept any so-called sham referendums. This is our territory…we will liberate our land and we will continue to fight

“We’re not afraid of his mobilisation, but there should also be a clear answer from the West and the answer should be to give more weapons to Ukraine.

“The quicker we will finish this war, the quicker we will liberate our territories which will be better for the whole world.

He added: “The longer we’re having it, we’re making this long agony of Putin and it is really very dangerous.

“There second should be a clear signal from the West that if Putin even touches the nuclear weaponry, the reaction will be like lightning and immediate and just absolutely destructive for Russia.

“That should be said clearly and openly that this is something which will never be accepted by the free world.”

Mr Goncharenko told GB News: “The other option is when other nations of the world will need to pay with blood like Ukraine is paying today

“If the aggressor is not stopped now, just remember the Second World War.

“It also started not from the United Kingdom, it started from Czech Republic, Austria, Poland, but finally it went against the United Kingdom and then it was an awful war.

“That is should be our lesson.
