CLEAN KITCHEN CLUB OPENS AT BATTERSEA POWER STATION

What better home could there be for the signature restaurant of one of the UK’s fastest growing and most disruptive plant-based food brands than one of the nation’s most iconic buildings!

Yes, 14th October will see the eagerly awaited opening of the latest addition to the rapidly growing Clean Kitchen Club portfolio, this time in the illustrious surroundings of the amazing Battersea Power Station development, the second phase of which will open on the same day.
In a prime spot, just off the north riverside entrance, the huge 2,441-square-foot space will accommodate 80 covers and be a milestone in the mission of co-founders Mikey Pearce and Verity Bowditch to take fully sustainable plant-based food and carbon-neutral packaging to a mainstream audience.
As with the other Clean Kitchen sites in Soho, Camden, Notting Hill and Wembley, the restaurant will offer a creative, feel-good all-day menu jam-packed with classics, from clean burgers and vegan bacon mac ‘n’ cheese through to chicken katsu bowls, no meat meatballs, melts, salads, wraps and desserts.
Whilst grab & go will still be very much an option – and perfect for time-pressed Battersea Power Station shoppers, workers and residents alike – the launch will see Clean Kitchen debut more of a dining experience, with its dishes served on china accompanied by silverware and its drinks in glasses.

Diners can also enjoy an array of cocktails, wines, beers and bubbles, whilst a very adult twist on Clean Kitchen’s perennially popular smoothies, with spirits and liqueurs taking the likes of Berry Clean to new heights, is sure to be find favour amongst the brand’s adoring clientele.

With its clean lines, bright green paintwork, varying seating styles and standalone bar, Clean Kitchen will offer a perfect sanctuary from the hustle and bustle that will characterise one of London’s most visionary and anticipated new developments.

Along with a menu that appeals to everyone from vegans to meat eaters – an incredible 80% of Clean Kitchen customers identify as non-vegans – sustainability continues to remain at the heart of everything the company does.

Clean Kitchen has the distinction of being the only plant-based food and lifestyle brand to publish carbon values for each of its menu items, with many receiving an A rating. All packaging is full sustainable; cutlery is created from either wood or avocado seeds. Even the ink used is water soluble.

Today one of the most widely followed plant-based brands in the world, Clean Kitchen was launched in Brighton by former YouTuber Mikey Pearce in June 2020, in the midst of a global pandemic. It quickly gained local attention for being the only vegan burger brand in the town at that time.

Seeking further exposure, Mikey contacted several of his fellow influencers, among them Made in Chelsea star Verity Bowditch. Verity, a lifelong vegetarian turned vegan and a biomedical science graduate, was so intrigued that instead of a post, she decided to go into partnership with him.

The last two years have seen Mikey and Verity build the brand from the ground up. In fact their creation has been such a game-changer that Clean Kitchen has so far raised an incredible £3.4 million in two seed funding rounds.

Clean Kitchen Club will open Monday to Thursday 9am-9pm, Friday & Saturday 9am-11pm and Sunday 10am-8pm. Watch this space for exciting post launch developments, including a bottomless weekend brunch!
