LEGOLAND DISCOVERY CENTRE UNVEILS FITTING TRIBUTE TO MAN UNITED GOAL SCORER ELLA TOONE

LEGOLAND Discovery Centre Manchester has unveiled a tribute to Manchester United and England striker Ella Toone using the brand-new LEGO BrickHeadz.

England hero Ella Toone continued her fine form from this summer’s EUROs by bagging a brace this weekend as Manchester United beat Brighton 4-0 in the WSL. The victory sees the Red Devils sitting pretty at the top of the league with three wins from their first three fixtures.

Toone enjoyed great success at EURO 2022, scoring two goals, including one in the final against Germany, as the Lionesses went on to lift England’s first major tournament trophy since 1966.

The new addition to the LEGO BrickHeadz range is now available to purchase at LEGOLAND Discovery Centre’s store in Manchester, meaning fans of the famous Red Devils can create a model of themselves playing for the world-famous football club.

The BrickHeadz kit comes with three different skin tones, four different hair colours, several unique hairstyles and bears the iconic badge on the front of the shirt. What’s more, the product comes with number stickers, meaning fans can customise the shirt to whatever number they want their BrickHeadz to wear.

Jenn McDonough, General Manager at LEGOLAND Discovery Centre Manchester, said: “We are so happy to welcome Ella Toone to LEGOLAND Discovery Centre Manchester. Ella grew up in Tyldesley, which is just down the road from us here at the Trafford Centre, so we’re proud to support our local talent and we can’t wait to see what her career brings.

“Toone already showed us what she was capable of this summer in the EURO 2022 and she’s made an incredible start to the Women’s Super League this season.

“The Lionesses inspired so many people across the nation this year and Toone played a huge part in that. As she plays for our hometown club in Manchester, we wanted to make sure celebrated her in true LEGO style – with bricks!”
