BEVERLEY TURNER TO LAUNCH HER OWN SHOW ON GB NEWS
Broadcaster, journalist, and author Beverley Turner is to host a new television and radio programme on GB News.
Bev, already a popular presenter on the channel, will front her own show Bev Turner Today from November 7. The programme will air on Mondays to Thursdays from 10am to 12 noon.
Bev’s wide-ranging broadcasting career includes four years’ hosting her own talk show on LBC radio, and four years as ITV’s only female racing commentator. She is also the author of The Pits: The Real World of Formula One, which exposes sexism in the sport.
She hosted Taste on Sky1 for six years, turning the daily cookery show into one of the channel’s most profitable in-house productions globally. She has also been a travel reporter, an entertainment reporter, and presenter of BBC Radio 5 Live’s Bump series on pregnancy and motherhood.
She has written for many newspapers, including The Daily Telegraph, Daily Mail and The Independent.
Bev said she enjoyed the freedom to speak her mind on GB News. “As the only channel which allows truly fearless debate and free speech, I already feel very at home,” she said. “GB News is rapidly earning a reputation as the only channel brave enough to challenge the status quo.”
She added: “I aim to make viewers smile, to make them think, and to provide a programme which is frank and fun. It’ll be home of lively conversation, passionate debate and above all, common sense.”
Head of Television Helen Warner said the show would see Bev engaging with a lively panel of regular guests, as well as GB News viewers and listeners from across the United Kingdom.
“Bev is one of the sharpest talents in news broadcasting,” she said. “She has an extraordinary ability to probe beneath the headlines to expose hypocrisy and challenge the official narrative.”
She added that Bev’s previous success in radio was key. “There’s a reason why GB News Radio is the fastest-growing news station in the country,” she said. “Bev is one of those wonderful broadcasters who connects equally with listeners as she does with viewers.”
