Neighbourhood Favourite Plant-Based Restaurant, En Root, Opens Third South London Restaurant

Today, En Root, the neighbourhood favourite Indian inspired plant-based restaurant, opens its third South London restaurant at the iconic Ritzy Cinema in Brixton.

‘En Root at The Ritzy’ will follow in the footsteps of its popular Clapham and Peckham siblings, serving up healthy, hearty, home-cooked Indian meals, designed to energise, uplift and nourish the communities of South London and cinema goers.

Visitors to the The Ritzy, which is now the first UK cinema to house an 100% plant based kitchen, will be able to enjoy En Root classics such as the ‘Raja Wrap and ‘Don Dada Platter’ – the ultimate showstopper with a range of all their culinary creations served in a traditional ‘thali’ style, as well as new exclusive cinema-style small bites including the ‘Poppanachos,’ where India meets Mexico with a poppadom base snack topped with Dhal, Pickled Cabbage, Avocado, Raita and Spice Krispies. Other small bites include the Masala Mogo, a spicy, saucy Kenyan twist on Cassava chips and Pani Puri, a one bite flavour explosion of Beetroot, Onion, Chickpeas & Pomegranate served with Date Tamarind Masala Water. Diners will be able to spice up their meal with En Root’s signature Raja Bonnet hot sauce, made with Scotch Bonnet fire, Kesar Mango fruit and Gujarati flavour.

A selection of mouth-watering sweet treats will also be available, including a ‘Mango Lassi Cheesecake’ or a decadent gluten free ‘Beetroot Blueberry Cacao Brownie’ to round off the ultimate cinema experience.

Throughout November, the team will be offering their ‘Lunchtime Special’ at En Root at The Ritzy, which consists of delicious Coconut Curry, Golden Rice, Daily Dhal and Rainbow Salad – all for an almost impossible price of just £5; £6 with avocado.
