Frugi will donate an item for every one sold, during its Black Friday Sale, to children’s clothing banks across the UK and beyond.
With soaring prices and families struggling, Cornwall – based organic children’s clothing company Frugi has decided to do Black Friday differently this year – with the aim to help as many children as they can with a ‘Buy One & We Donate One’ campaign.
The sale, which will run from 21st to the 29th of November, will see Frugi reducing their prices by up to a whopping 40%.
For every item sold at sale price, Frugi will donate an item to the charity “Clemie’s Clothes” whose aim it is to rehome pre-loved items to those families who need a little extra support.
Charity founder, CJ Bowry, enthused, “We are so thrilled to be working with Frugi as their U.K. and European charity distributor for this amazing initiative. Sal’s Shoes works with over 200 baby banks, community organisations, women’s refuges and family hubs nationwide to tackle soaring child poverty levels. Periodically we distribute large donations of children’s clothing, in addition to shoes, under the banner of ‘Clemie’s Clothes’. We are delighted that Frugi’s incredibly generous donation of thousands of items of clothing will find very deserving homes with families in need, via our distribution network, getting straight to the families who need them most. Little Clothes really can make a BIG Change and this donation will make such a huge impact on families struggling to survive in the current cost of living crisis, here in the U.K. and Europe.”
Frugi have a longstanding relationship with the charity and have already donated items through them to several ‘baby banks’ across the UK.
Having already donated over £1 million to various causes, Frugi have always been mindful of the charities they work with, ensuring that any donation is truly going to those who need it most.
Frugi’s founder, Lucy Jewson MBE, expanded, “Frugi’s sale this year is a great opportunity for its customers to not only grab a bargain for themselves but also, in doing so, help those who may not otherwise be able to afford new clothes for their children right now.”
Clemie’s Clothes, an arm of registered charity Sal’s Shoes, will be welcoming the donations and distributing them out as soon as possible to ensure children have adequate clothing as the wintry weather arrives.
