Shelly’s Pharmacy in Kensington sold for the first time in over 30 years
Specialist business property adviser, Christie & Co, has announced the sale of Shelly’s Pharmacy in London.
Shelly’s is a standard hours community pharmacy which dispenses an average of 8,000 items per month. It occupies a community setting amongst other retail shops and licenced premises in North Kensington, London.
The pharmacy was opened in 1981 by Mr Shailesh Thakrar and, in 2000, was incorporated into My Pharmacy Limited, where he sits as a Director. The pharmacy has been under the same ownership ever since.
Following a confidential sales process with Christie & Co, Shelly’s Pharmacy has been sold to small independent multiple-operator, Ali Mansour, who has a group of pharmacies in North London and the Home Counties.
Jack Chard, Director – Medical at Christie & Co, who handled the sale, comments, “Due to Shelly’s’ strong item numbers and turnover, the pharmacy received multiple bids over the asking price – something we have now become accustomed to with high-performing London pharmacies. Mr Thakrar and Mr Mansour were both easily contactable throughout the deal and ensured it was smooth and efficient.”
