Crystal Head Vodka partners with British tailoring designer Joshua Kane
Crystal Head Vodka, co-founded by actor and musician Dan Aykroyd in 2008, has partnered with British fashion designer and bespoke tailor, Joshua Kane, on a series of limited-edition, luxury bottle casings. The trio of designs symbolise a ‘beautiful, rebellious spirit’, a narrative shared by both Joshua Kane and Crystal Head Vodka.
Launching exclusively with Selfridges, in all 4 UK stores on the 20th December, the hand-stitched patterns took Joshua six months to develop, with multiple prototype stages due to the challenging dimensions of Crystal Head Vodka’s iconic skull bottle. The eccentric and eclectic patchwork designs, consisting exclusively of Kane’s bespoke designed and woven British fabrics featured on their runway, are a limited run of x 200 bottles, available in three styles; Black/Gold, Black/Red and Black/White.
On the collaboration Joshua cites ‘an affinity with Crystal Head Vodka, as a brand that breaks the mould in terms of perceptions of luxury and rebellion. The skull bottle, to me, represents the rebel and an affinity with non-conformists which is something I identify with. I’ve always been a rule breaker and loved the challenge of creating these bespoke skull bottle casings using fabric from my runway collections, pushing boundaries in the craft of tailoring.’
