Leading International Property Consultants, LH1 Global is supporting ShelterBox’s urgent appeal to support those most affected by the recent series of powerful earthquakes that have devastated southern Türkiye (formerly Turkey) and northern Syria.

ShelterBox has deployed its urgent response team to Türkiye and will be supporting affected people in Syria and Türkiye, focusing on the areas where the need for aid is greatest. The Cornwall based international disaster relief charity will be providing tents to help people to shelter from the winter weather, prevent the spread of disease, and offer privacy.

ShelterBox is also providing thousands of blankets and expect items like solar lights and mattresses to be in high demand. Warm children’s clothing is also being distributed in northern Syria, where the conditions are highly challenging.

In northwest Syria many buildings were already damaged by years of civil war, and that’s where some of the worst damage has been reported. With 3 million people already displaced by the war, Syria is at breaking point. Families are facing harsh living conditions, freezing temperatures and diseases like cholera. They have faced the destruction of war, only to be hit again by these events.

Currently, over 40,000 people are known to have died, with approximately 23 million people expected to be affected across the two countries.
