Justin Cassin returns to London Fashion Week to showcase AW24 collection
Los Angeles-based menswear designer Justin Cassin returned to London Fashion Week this week, after last showing his Spring/Summer 23 collection here in Seymour Hall.
Presenting his namesake brand’s Autumn/Winter 24 collection at The Vinyl Factory, Soho, Cassin reaffirms his reputation as a designer who is becoming masterful at constructing modernist menswear silhouettes. Cassin’s modus operandi revolves around a playful exploration of volume and structure that both references and challenges classic tailored shapes, all of which is beautifully complemented by the designer’s keen eye for innovative fabrications.
Cassin’s unique ability to transform timeless menswear silhouettes into something that pushes boundaries and is a conduit for bold individual expression comes to the fore in this new Fall collection. The emergence of subtle asymmetric lines underpins a sleek modern elegance throughout the tailored pieces, notable for their soft comfortable contours and understated colour palette.
Opening and closing the show with monochromatic looks, Cassin’s exploration of light and dark takes in a journey of neutral nuances in between, deftly balancing beige and brown tones with accents of soft blue and olive green, all playing out on a texturally diverse and tactile canvas of leather, linen and flashes of tweed. Accentuating Cassin’s appreciation of classic workwear silhouettes is a stunning linen jumpsuit, updated and elevated with the designer’s contemporary vision of form and functional details.
