Addison Lee sponsors Uxbridge Football Club
Addison Lee – London’s largest premium private hire, courier, and black taxi provider – has become the first main sponsor of non-league Uxbridge Football Club.
The sponsorship deal will see Addison Lee as the club’s shirt sponsor for both the 2023/24 and 2024/25 seasons, and will include a number of local community and educational initiatives.
Both Uxbridge FC and Addison Lee have a longstanding heritage in the capital, with the firm operating in the city for 50 years and Uxbridge one of the oldest clubs in England, founded in 1871.
As neighbours in the West Drayton area, the partnership was a clear fit for both organisations. Addison Lee opened its Fleet Hub in the area earlier this year, which as their main operating centre features an electric vehicle rapid charging hub, driver training centre and full maintenance and service garage.
Uxbridge FC currently play in the Isthmian League South Central Division and begin their season on Saturday 5th August with an away trip to Tunbridge Wells in the Extra Preliminary Round of the FA Cup. The match will be the first outing of the new Uxbridge FC kit, adorned with the Addison Lee logo.
Commenting on the sponsorship, Addison Lee CEO, Liam Griffin said: “As a proud London business, we are always keen to work with like-minded organisations to support our local communities. As neighbours it made complete sense for us to come together to explore opportunities for our employees, drivers, and the communities in and around Uxbridge.”
Uxbridge FC Chairman, Mark Bantock added: “We are thrilled to be partnering with such a well-respected company in London. They share community values that are at the heart of Uxbridge Football Club and I know that we can deliver some impactful initiatives together. This sponsorship deal is further proof of our commitment to see the club progress through the Football League Pyramid.”
Uxbridge FC’s Honeycroft Stadium is currently being redeveloped to include a new 3G pitch, LED floodlighting and a replacement stand. These developments will improve the efficiency and environmental impact of its operations, aligning with Addison Lee’s ongoing commitment to sustainability, including its multi-million-pound investment in its EV fleet and rapid charging hub.
