Watermans Launches New Cultural Podcast, The Mix
Watermans – west London’s leading arts centre – has launched its first podcast, The Mix . The monthly episodes will focus on interviews with some of the artists behind exhibitions films and theatre productions and thoughts and ideas from the programmers who help ensure that Watermans continues to offer high quality, accessible cultural events.
Over time there will also be a focus on some of the teams who work behind the scenes at Watermans to support its activities and help to make sure visitors and audiences have a great experience.
Currently there are three episodes available to download, which can all be accessed via the usual podcast channels. Links for The Mix are available from Watermans’ own website or from its own podcast website https://themix.buzzsprout.com
The first episode is focused on the current new media art exhibition, Tenderly Towards the Tipping Point and has interviews with some of the young Indian artists involved.
The latest episode has interviews with two artists featured in events at Watermans on Sunday 21 January 2024. The first is with Stu Hanna, one half of acclaimed folk duo, Megson who will be performing for audiences 7 – 11 years and their families and the second with Magnus von Horn , the writer and director of Polish film, Sweat , which is the subject of the next Kino! – the monthly Polish film and talk season.
