From top hats to glider planes: February Half-Term at The Postal Museum

Calling all (mini) engineers, inventors and daydreamers! The Postal Museum is challenging kids to get their thinking caps on, while making and creating, with a February half-term bursting with activities.

From arts and craft workshops and storytelling, to live performances and meeting people from the past, there’s loads to get involved with as The Postal Museum celebrates novel ideas and innovative engineering feats.

Curious kids (and big kids!) will have the chance to meet the great inventor Sir Rowland Hill, creator of the world’s first postage stamp, design an aeroplane, create their very own engineers tool box and put themselves in the shoes of a Mail Rail worker, with a brand-new family gallery trail.

The Postal Museum runs a huge variety of activities every school holiday for families with children of all ages, and activities are included in the price of your museum ticket.

With something new to do almost every time you visit, it’s no surprise Day out with the Kids readers recently voted The Postal Museum the best London day out for under 5s.

Times and dates

Activities take place from Monday 18 February to Sunday 24 February 2019 and are included in the price of a ticket on first come first served basis. So, make sure you book online and turn up early as capacity is limited – www.postalmuseum.org
