StART announces move to Kings Cross Town Hall for the 2024 Fair and Beyond
StART art fair’s founders David and Serenella Ciclitira have today announced that this year, and for the next decade, StART is relocating to an iconic new space in London’s world-renowned creative and technology hub, Kings Cross-St Pancras – the vibrant district for innovative talent, now known simply as KX.
The move heralds a bold new era of expansion for StART and offers an exciting opportunity for galleries to be showcased in this atmospheric and versatile new Central London location during October’s Frieze Week.
StART will present the fair in the new venue, which has recently undergone a major refurbishment. Located close to Regent’s Park and Frieze, it benefits from its vicinity to Kings Cross-St Pancras stations, the London tube network and direct trains to all of the UK’s main cities, as well as easy access to and from the rest of mainland Europe.
The soon-to-be unveiled, fully renovated King Cross Town Hall builds upon the already formidable reputation of this cutting-edge hub of creative excellence. KX is the energetic home to the headquarters of industry-leading global giants, such as Google, LVMH and Facebook, Goldman Sachs, Amazon, JP Morgan, Deloitte, Universal Music, YouTube, and many more. It has firmly established itself as the most exciting location for progressive businesses in London.
This historic building has been comprehensively updated and future-proofed with an elegance that elevates its surroundings, and it is set to become both a unique global destination, and one of the most sought after venues for culture and events in the capital.
With a keen focus on some of the most exciting emerging global markets, StART will bring together cutting-edge artists and galleries from across the world, introducing the cultural leaders shaping a new dawn in contemporary art. The fair will continue to include its signature mix of curated projects, gallery presentations and independent artist exhibitors. Applications are now open, and the newly established StART Interntational Selection Committee will carefully consider proposals from all artists, galleries and independent curators.
StART art fair founder Serenella Ciclitira comments: “The move to King’s Cross marks a bold new chapter for StART as we further expand our horizons and look to some of the world’s most interesting and pioneering markets. This stunning new venue provides international galleries with an incredible new platform in the heart of creative London.”
David Ciclitira continues, “We have always been a fair that focuses on spotlighting the most dynamic and evolving art markets and creating an atmosphere of genuine discovery and excitement. We are looking forward to continuing this mission in such a prestigious new London venue.”
StART art fair runs from 7-13 October 2024.
